Webcam Waves

Harbor House Bed & Breakfast

Webcam "waves" are a fun way to say goodbye to friends and family back home as you embark on an exciting vacation afloat.

Our webcam is located at the Harbor House Bed & Breakfast on Staten Island (see photo above) so be sure to wave as your ship approaches the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. If you are planning to stay in the area for a pre-cruise vacation or overnight, please consider the Harbor House for your next visit. A perfect place for watching all the ships leave port.

We take control of our HDTV camera and follow most cruise ship sail-aways during our live Internet broadcasts. However, the much greater distances involved (compared to Port Canaveral and Port Everglades) mean we are unable to provide close-ups of individual passengers or groups. If you would still like to be seen, please stand on the top deck(s) next to the starboard side railings. No guarantees but we sometimes zoom in on those areas and if we see people waving vigourously, they might just get their 15 seconds of fame!

Still image captures from every sail-away can be viewed later through our webcam archive: PortFever.com

Hi-res photography is not currently available. If you are interested in purchasing a video recording of your sail-away, please contact us.

Barring unforeseen circumstances or technical outage, we expect to cover most cruise ship sail-aways with our HD webcam. Please remember though that we cannot guarantee to feature you or that viewers will be able to recognize you. We are not taking specific ship/sailing/location wave requests like we do at Port Everglades.

Enjoy your cruise!
